My photography has grown out of my love for the mountains and outdoors in general and I've always used a 'proper' rucksack rather than a photo-rucksack for reasons of comfort, plus as a micro 4/3 photographer I generally don't need all that much gear. I've now booked myself into a week-long...
ON1 2021 is my only RAW editor (apart from Olympus Workspace) and I love it - and sometimes get frustrated by performance issues. The step up from 2020 to 2021 and 2021.5 was incremental rather than significant. Unless you've upgraded to a new camera that wasn't supported by the previous version...
To be honest, I've yet to see a camera rucksack that I would use. I've come to photography via mountaineering rather than the other way round and a comfortable day bag was always a priority. I have relatively small kit (m43) and find that an Osprey Stratos 36 l does the job nicely. Good back...
Hate is a strong word, though I did recently pen the term Adobophobe to describe myself. Subscription was the number one reason for looking elsewhere. The processing package I found (ON1 Photo Raw if you're interested) does most things that LR and PS do between them (filters, masks, layers etc.)...
My EM1.3 and 100-400 arrived on Tuesday, a mere two months after ordering them. If the lens is anything like my old Lumix 100-300, you're guaranteed not to see any birds of prey within shooting distance ever again I swear that thing's got a curse on it!
Well you can't mention Gavin without alluding to Adam Gibbs: https://www.youtube.com/user/AGibbsPhotography
Then there's Henry Turner (can't believe no-one's mentioned him yet, or did I overlook something?): https://www.youtube.com/user/HNT182
and Ian Worth...
Absolute dream team. They play very nicely together! If you can pick this combo up for a decent price second hand, get it. You'll never look back! Plus it's great for close-ups of plants and insects. Minimal focal distance 7.5 cm (correct me someone if I'm wrong)
Two years ago I was asking myself the same question and decided to go with m4/3 / Olympus and haven't looked back since. Absolutely cracking kit. GreenNinja67 mentions noise, but given the massive image stabilisation with the EM-1s, this will seldom be an issue. Point in case, one of my earliest...
Original. Whimsical. Love the colour gradient. If it's a real wedding photo then I'd have difficulty with the lack of recognisable features at this resolution, if it's just a 'clever' photo then it works.
