Yes pleased I was able to get one in the end , plan is to keep it a long time , once I’m happy with a lens I keep it long term This one seems decent, sharp on a quick test will give it a proper test

It doesn’t say anything about the 35 1.4 being discontinued on Tamrons website but I’ve no reason to doubt the retailers information, certainly my order was on backorder since just after Christmas and all the UK supplier’s I have found haven’t had stock for a while

Yes you’re right about that and unfortunately there’s nothing as good in the Canon RF mount as the Tamron
