Well many have been using those 150-600 and 100-400 f6.3 for a decade and gotten good results. Sure, the primes are better as you would expect but a lot pricier apart from ones like the 500pf.
Most will benefit from stopping down a bit and don't expect super corners from any of them - its a...
This is what a 10-30 PD looks like:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-NIKKOR-10-30mm-3-5-5-6-Zoom/dp/B00IYP9HY8?th=1
The PD lens have motorised zooms like those on many point and shoot cameras. You rotate a ring on the lens to go between wide and tele.
Probably posted the following before but...
I wouldn’t limit “creativity” to just the visual arts and humanities.
Just try and be any reasonable scientist or engineer or technician without creativity and see how far you get.
That said - I am just a snapper and have been since the late 60’s - no pretence to be anything other although just...
I used to use a zhongyi turbo 2 focal reducer / speed booster on a NEX 6 I had with, mainly contax MF lenses.
It was inexpensive and worked pretty well to reduce the field of view back to what you get on FF.
Other benefits: you get an additional stop eg my contax 28/2.8 became a 28/2...
Good to know - That is the main issue I still have with buying from the better grey sellers. Had to send a few Samyangs back to MPB for decentre/ softness- turnaround was within 48 hrs.
Had expected possibly weeks from eg Panamoz etc
If you intend to do a lot then the Godox route is the way to go. Or if you may buy more than one flash for example.
Also the radio commander is better than Nikons optical system in some scenarios.
If you really just want one TTL flash them I still think it’s worth looking at a nice used...
Yep c41 developed bw film unless you want to develop your own then hp5 and scan it yourself . Last I did was pre covid - pretty easy to do if you still have a tank and changing bag etc.
I used to do a lot of colour on Fujifilm when Asda had in house processing for a quid or two alas…..
I...
I thought about the various Z pancakes - and tried the 40/2 which I sent back
In the end just for casual shooting I got the trio of samyang 24/1.8, 45/1.8 and 75/1.8 “Tiny” series. Work well for me on the EtZ21. Got two used - needed to send back one cos of decentre - common issue with SY
Rough estimate :
Focal length required in mm = 24mm x subject distance (mm )/ height of bird (mm )
This is to fill the 24 mm height of a full frame.
So for a 4 inch high bird ( 100mm ) at 20 yds/metres you need about 5000 mm !!!
Filling by 1/4 max is probably more reasonable so replace 24...
They don’t usually but I have had bad Meike and Kenko tubes in my time.
Actually, the Kenko AF ones are probably the best ( in spite of my experience) but they are about 100 quid from amazon. You might find them used from a dealer eg mpb have a set at £66 - best to avoid ebay for these imo -...
As said above - check the contacts and check that it this AF-D lens is in actually clicked in to min aperture for the camera to recognise the lens and control via the control dial.
Do you get same issue without the tube ? If not then it’s likely the extension tube that is the problem
There is the Nikon 60:2.8 G afs. It’s very good - I have the screw drive af-d version. Only problem is the short working distance at 1:1 - I prefer a 90/105 or longer.
The Z6 is absolutely fine imo and a bargain !
Thought about a z7 for the extra mpx but am sticking to the z6 at the moment
AF with fw 3.5 is very good - still short of a D500/D850/Z8 but very useable
I got a Z6 /FTZ / 24-70/4 kit in 2019 -added a 14-30/4 and a 50/1,8 s
Just got a 105 MC...
