    Eos R3 charging ?

I think it has to be a 'PD' powerbank to work.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

There must be a naughty elf in Iceland collecting the damn things - that's where mine went too!

Thanks for the R3 cover answers - a cheap replacement and gaffer tape it is on a £5k camera lol :)

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Does anyone have any tips for keeping the rubber gromit in place that protects the accessory shoe on the R3? Mine keeps on getting pulled off when I take the camera out of my bag, leaving me scrabbling around the dark recesses of the bag to locate it. I've taken to leaving it off rather than...

    Canon upgrade?

James, I upgraded from a 5D mk1 to an R3 and don't have any RF lenses! The EF/RF adaptor works very well and also gives a command ring which can be configured. I'm in no rush to replace my existing lenses, but will likely upgrade my older & lower spec lenses for new RF ones over the next 10...

    Yellowstone Park

Just to complete this thread - the Park was closed due to snow on the Eastern entrance that we were attempting to enter by, so we never made it into the park! On a positive note, we went to Thermopolis instead which is interesting in it's own way and allowed me to try some astro-photography...

    Yellowstone Park

Thanks all, we'll be entering the park from Cody (on the 14) and expect to leave on the 26 towards Lander. Rather worryingly the 26 isn't showing as open on the park road map...

    Yellowstone Park

Thanks, I'll see how those locations map onto my current route through the area. Also, I have no intention of feeding the bears, but the 'yogi bear' documentary series that I watched as a child makes me aware that they have plenty of ruses for distracting me whilst they make off with the food :)

Common mistakes for Beginner landscape photographers

Yes, I'm colour-blind too, which means that I *rarely* do any post image processing which might impact the colour. Whatever the camera captures (colour wise) I try and stick with (I occasionally boost saturation/hue to 'pep' up shots, but that's about it.

    Yellowstone Park

All, I'm lucky enough to be doing a road trip and spending a few days in Yellowstone in Late October. Does anyone have hints and tips for good shooting locations which might be a little more off the beaten track? Also, what's my likelihood of spotting bears(*) - this will impact whether I...

    Goodwood Revival 2022

Thanks, I took the R3 for a walk, but stuck to the paddock. I made a conscious decision to stay in my wifes good books by spending the day with her, rather than standing by the catch fencing ;) It was very useful, as it meant that I had to spend time actually pressing buttons and learning how...

    Goodwood Revival 2022

Yes, I'll be going for the first time, but only for Sunday. I'll be attempting to dress up by going in generic jacket/shirt/tie combo. I intend to take my new R3 to give it a thorough outing, but wondered whether a big white lens might stand out amongst the retro gear? What's the etiquette here?

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I've just received my R3, and find that the supplied manual is pretty basic. I've found the Canon R3 more detailed guide online, but as I'm old fashioned and prefer paper can anyone recommend a suitable book which covers the R3 in more depth? I'm not just looking for a settings guide, more...

    Woodpecker rally

A good set. My personal favourites are 1 & 16 as they are composed to show more of the dust trail being left behind so they invoke the sense of speed quite well. In respect to the shutter speed, I'd agree maybe a little too fast, but it's the age old balancing of blur in the right places vs...
