Sparrowhawk

Lovely, those eyes!
 
Had quite regular visits by the Sparrowhawk but it hasn't predated anything in the garden yet - came close a couple of times!

We don’t see them often in our garden. Saw one whizzing down the side of the garage just a few feet off the ground once and another time one had caught a Coal Tit. But that’s over a period of 10-15 years. I guess they’re around, but they are fleeting.
