Nice - and what Tim said :)

Brickwork and bridges and a bit of blue. Would be cool if they were birches :)
Off to a good start!

That's pretty close. Winter certainly has a knack of opening up views for us.

Surely needs a train in the background? ;)
Quite a decent view when kettles are running.
Thanks Tim, not many steamers run these days.
Good start to the year, quick off the blocks!
Thanks Paul
That works Pete (y)

Good start! Something of interest, close to home. :)
Thank you Bob

A good start Pete and very close by.
Cheers Pete
A nice and simple shot to start another challenge.
Thanks Stan

PAH! I could easily get up there in.... erm.... my own slow time :D

Nice take!

Me too.
Some great lines in there!
Thank you Simon
Very nice shot, on theme. Is it leaning towards a Dutch Tilt perhaps?
Thanks Bob, what ever a dutch tilt is and I did google it, but none the wiser.
That has to be a railway bridge, surely...
Good work getting the tonal range from almost complete black to the bright sky without losing detail (that I can see anyway) SooC.
Spot on Tim, and thanks, TBH the camera worked the exposure out, I twindled the dial for exposure comp till the sky was ok.

Thank you all for your comments.

Hard fits the theme, materials and the effort to get up there. Bet there are a few sighs when approaching those steps.

Soft, good close up

Fits the bill and looks nice and soft. Picks up some lovely texture too.

Thank you Keith, yes the steps are good exercise, we don't have any at home.

Like Soft, guessing you used a wide aperture for narrow dof to enhance the soft look?
Thanks Bob, correct on assumptions.

Lovely textures in yoiur 'soft' image. And I really like the shallow DOF.
Thank You Kell

My Week04 Water.

This week is a reflection from the water collected on the top of our patio table. The cover is still waterproof after 3 years so that is working better than normal.

Yes - a nice theme to reflect on :D

Interesting pic!

As Dave said
Good / different idea and I needed the info about the shot.

Yep - like that :)

Snappers; Good alignment of boats and some nice colour despite the lack of light we all seem to be suffering from.
Neat and tidy; Nicely framed.

Like that!! Annoyed I didn't think of it, especially as there's a Spanish photographer called Chema Madoz who has done 'plates' and I often get inspiration from his stuff.

That works nicely for the theme Pete, although I might have been tempted to remove the far left one which seems oddly out of sync with the others - possibly a different size plate or dish?
