Hi, never been to Felixstowe but would love to visit the sea defences at languard. Just like to know the best tide to capture these high or low?
Also where the best place to park to reach these? Looking to go during the week so it shouldn't be to busy.

I don't know Felixstowe but there are a couple of car parks close to Languard Fort. If the sea defences are the groynes then low tide, or close to it, is likely to show them well.

Thanks Dave for the info, just didn't want to drive the 80 odd miles and miss out really.

Did you ever get to Felixstowe and to Languard Fort?
If not it is well worth the effort. The Fort itself is a good source of images and there are often re-enactment events held there. To the seaward side there is a wildlife area which again with patience can be rewarding. On the estuary side you have good views across to the old Essex port of Harwich but probably more interesting are the excellent and close up views of the very busy Port of Felixstowe.
There is a good car park, cafe and toilets adjacent to the fort.
