Photographing anything and everything that moved or didn't since I was 11. My teenage years were spent in Manchester, Cheetham Hill. Emigrated to Canada in 1974 and decided to return to Wales in 1985. Went digital around 2000 with the amazing little Olympus CAMEDIA C-100 1.3 MP camera which my great grandson uses on our walkabouts. My first DSLR was the Canon 400D in 2016 which I later upgraded to the Canon 600D a year later. I'm a great fan of zoom lenses and the last bridge camera I bought brand new was the Nikon Coolpix P600 which I still use.
I've been an Olympus fan since the early 1970's and finally went to their Micro Four Thirds system after acquiring a Panasonic Lumix G5 for less than £50.00, it came with a camera bag, an all kinds of accessories. I got myself an EOS to M43 adapter so I could use my Canon lenses. I also liked the idea that the M43 format allowed you to use any lens using adapters. I got myself an Olympus OM-D E-M10 followed by the E-M5 but I missed the articulating screens I was used to and finally found the OM-D E-M5 II, wow, what a camera that is.
I have collected a few more bits and pieces since I took the above image like the Olympus 14-150mm f4-5.6 II, but I still pick up the odd manual lens just to try, my last purchase was the
Tamron SP 500mm f8 BBAR MC Mirror 55BB which was in pristine condition as was the case it came with. I won't be re-selling this one.
And this is why:
Sorry for going on a lot but my OM-D E-M5 II re-ignited a long lost passion.
