Probably been asked before but what is the maximum size CF card for a Nikon D2x?

Some say 16gb others 32gb, confusing to say the least.

The Nikon site says 8GB

Sandisk, however, say 16GB

From several DP Review members:

"32 GB SanDisk Extreme CF cards work fine in a D2X, but 64 GB SanDisk Extreme cards are not recognised."

I’ve had 32gb in mine just fine with no issues at all if that helps

The problem is, when the User Manual was written the larger cards were not available. From user comments on forums, the consensus from those who've tried is the 32GB works fine but not above.

I have a barely used Sandisk Extreme 32GB. If you want I can post it to you. If it works you can PayPal me £18 all in. If not just post it back to me.

In 2005 a 16gb card was considered BIG, thats when the D2x came out if I remember rightly.

I have a feeling that SanDisk have stopped producing the 32GB cards and the last ones are being sold off. Time moves on.
