What a great morning this was. So much good feeling, mood and positivity with this morning with such a beautiful thing to witness. Lovely light and reflections throughout the morning. The sunrise was tricky with the reeds moving around a bit but took a few and got a completely non blurred...

Hi,
I had a stunning morning at Buttermere, though reflections came and went a number of times so it was a test of patience to get the near perfect reflection.
1, I decided to shoot this quite wide to get the best light from sunrise. The clouds were also catching some nice colour...
Took these on a recent trip to the lakes, think we were lucky to get such great reflections.
Comments welcome.

Two from the Pyrenees from last months trip to France. I had a wonderful two days exploring the Ossau Valley and this lake.
Unfortunately the very best flat water didn't come until the light had failed. The golden hour was wonderful but would want to go back with a few more clouds in the sky...
I discovered this lovely lake in the Haute-Savoie region of France. Last month I did a 25 day tour of Europe (far more exciting than just staying here) and found myself here on day one. The plan was to go to Chamonix Mont Blanc the next day but the weather broke down so I ended up in Italy...
I know I posted some from Trotternish last week but created another crop - 17x7 just taking a tad off the sky. This is the one I am happiest with

The next is from my favourite bit of coast in the UK. Elgol. Truth be told I can take or leave the sea but...
You know how sometimes sequins or other shiny objects will reflect a bright or sometimes kind of rainbow colored reflection on things? I want to take a photo of this reflection on someone's face. How do I light something to make those reflections? I was experimenting just now with a lighting kit...
Spent the afternoon kicking around Crosby and Southport with no pre-planning or idea of what to shoot. Did a little experimenting with long exposures in Crosby and got this simple shot while in Southport.

Something for everyone here. I took two morning trips up to Skye last week. The 1st was to Elgol.
The sunrise came lighting up the view.

These were taken a couple of weeks back on different days but in very similar conditions - calm crisp mornings with intense hazy sunrises. I couldn't quite believe the contrasts that were going on in the first one looking down to the bottom of Derwenwater, it had me frantically grasping for the...
I've been distracted from my business as usual photography over the last couple of weeks. Good to get back to some of my (and others) well known tripod holes.
First stop last week, and probably for the last time this year was the Torren Lochan in Glencoe. I spoke to the owner of the Lochan and...
