I knew of toad racings… even frogs, fleas, dunkies etc,
but ducks… sounds hilarious!

IIRC they're known as "Racing Snails" in motorsport circles.

Had a similar problem to #12 (picture #7) in my Dyane 6 many (MANY!) years ago. Spotted steam coming up through the screen vents, closely followed by the realisation that it was smoke not steam, followed by flames... The heat exchanger hose had caught fire! Popped the bonnet, heaved the spare wheel across the road and whipped the flaming hose out. The only good thing about that car was that it's easy to take the whole rear bench seat out for use as a sofa on the beach! (The Mehari is quite cool - ABS body on a 2CV chassis. LHD only although an RHD conversion would probably be possible.)
