Aye nice one :)

Snappers: Great capture. I love the expression
Abstract. Well spotted.. the eyes have it!

A bit of a catch-up coming up as I’ve been busy with work and other stuff so some of the shot selection and set up has been a bit rushed.

Week 31: bridges

Not great pic but a funny moment as we sat in a canal side bar and the bridge keeper was there sampling the beer and whenever a boat appeared he jumped on his bike to cycle the oh.. 5 metres to the bridge, lowered the road barriers by hand and raised the bridge. Then the same in reverse as he returned to his beer at the bar. I tried to get him in shot but was too slow.

Yay - well done. Like the tender moment caught in your candid shot.

Agree that it’s difficult getting comfortable with street/candid photos. I have found that sometimes it helps to find a location with plenty of activity and stay in one place or walk slowly, taking quite a number of pictures with the action being delivered to me, rather than feel like I’m snooping for a picture. It’s about feeling comfortable and then the subjects don’t get uncomfortable, is how I view it.

I like your picture by the way.

Thanks and for the advice too. I did move the camera and take some ‘decoy’ pictures to make it less obvious who or what the subject was as in my people picture where they were walking towards me. For the candid pic I used my 300mm and had to crop some more hence the lower IQ. I was far enough away not to be noticed.

Candid is a lovely moment captured. Shame it's so tiny and a bit out of focus.

For street stuff I almost always pic a spot and lurk. I've been known to use everything from 14mmm to 500mm :)

A nice set to catch up. I particularly like the exit shot.. would fit candid too!

Really good submissions for Friends - both work very well. And local, which could also be friends, is very good. The dog patiently waiting for the owner to cafch his/her breath

Thanks Bob. For Friends I like the one in the gallery but the left-most woman’s head disappears due to the background behind her so my vote will be for the two men at the station

That's one wierd looking critter! Nicely shot :)
