Windy today, and not much around, but I found some flies. These images were captured hand-held with FZ200 and Raynox 150, with KX800 dual flash with shallow hybrid diffusers. Most or all also used a concave diffuser. The images were captured at 1/1600 sec using base ISO and an aperture of f/8, which is equivalent to about f/29 on an APS-C camera in terms of depth of field and diffraction.

The images were batch processed in DXO Optics Pro and individually adjusted in Lightroom. These images are taken from this album at Flickr.

The first four may or may not be the same fly. The colours of the fatsia leaves (in the first four) are genuinely odd and very varied, both across an individual leaf and between leaves. The colours shown here may or may not be approximately correct.
