A couple of Peacock Butterflies from the garden

Things seem to be really picking up in the garden now from a wildlife PoV which is great to see. Seen a number of Butterflies including this Peacock which spent a few minutes pollinating our Damson Blossom

Shooting up into the tree and towards the sun, tricky balance trying to not blow the whites of the blossom and still manage to record recoverable shadow detail. Quite a bit of PP required to bring out some detail in the Butterfly. The first one has come out quite nicely, struggling to not overcook the 2nd.

Thanks Nick. We've also seen Red Admiral's, Comma's and an Orange Tip so far so things are looking promising

Plenty of these "hibernators" on the wing now, nectaring, basking, an setting up there territories.
