Anyone know what this is ? I'd hoped to get a better shot, without the grass etc in the way, but figured I ought to get at least one in case, and I was right. As I went to position for a better shot it vamoosed... the flight path was erratic so no way I was going to get a shot of it...

Nice shot John, native butterflies are one insect I haven't shot much of, I must try to shoot more looking at this shot. (y)
 
Thanks Alby. Those I've actually seen don't tend to sit on anything, so I'm pleased I got this one. I'll look forward to seeing what you get of them.
