These guys can be quite charismatic I think, compared to their size! Still some crop in, would extension tubes be the solution for a closer image? Never tried them, and not sure the difference between that and a 2:1 macro, for example.

I don't know the technicals ( I'm sure someone will) But I've used extension tubes with my M50 & Canon 100mm Macro lens,
with good results. The best part mine are are Auto focus.
None of this manual focus malarkey
( If you are buying double check. Some aren't)

One issue with extension tubes if that DoF can be tiny but other than that they're a way of doing it. I like screw on magnifiers.

I can't help on the Ext. Tubes, I use a 'set' of Laowa lenses to cover 1-5x mag
