A Privet hawk Moth

Excellent as always Kev. To me these always seem to look better in the flesh than in a photo l think, they are one of those moths that are impressive on the back of your hand if you know what l mean.

No as it only has 6 legs that I can see, could be a small springtail. Saying that they do have a six-legged larva stage so on the other hand could be. I need a better photo to be sure.
