Thanks @Shugpug. Capturing or at least trying to capture the textures was the reason I went with the stack.Works well in black and white and I really like the textures that come through. Well done getting it photographed before the browning set in (or was she lemon juice judiciously applied..?!)
I'm a macro guy (probably see a lot of close up and macro type shots as we progress). The OM cameras have the focus stacking in camera, although limited to 15 images and output is jpeg only, so I cheated and didn't pull the RAWS and stack in affinity.Impressive to start Week 1 with a stack. Far too much effort just after Christmas
Works well and a nicely sharp stack.
I just thought it looked better than the colour image and had more contrast in it. Plus, I'm a bit of a fan of B&W images.Nice sharp image, why did you feel B&W was the better choice?
Ah, we all have our ways and I enjoy the process involved. Cheers though….Nice shot. Pretty sure I could get that with a single shot though.
Yep I agree 100%Ah, we all have our ways and I enjoy the process involved. Cheers though….
Yes, I was happy with both to be fair. Two beauties. I will go for the second, though.
It's like the trail of the runaway ice crystals has a backstory....Yes, I was happy with both to be fair.
Standing outside this morning doing these was tricky as it's been so cold. I just asked my daughter which she liked the most and went with that one. I personally thought it was interesting that it had formed that way all on its own.
Thank you @bullinachinashopThe texture on the apple slice is fantastic and love it in B&W
The ice close-ups are stunning!!
