Adjusting over exposed old images using photoshop?

Hello

I have several images which were taken 10 years ago using a disposable camera in a fairly dark room (anniversary party).

I have scanned them in and have tried various techniques to brighten them up using photoshop but I cant get it right

I realise the photos are fairly bad quality but I want to get it as good as I can.

You could try duplicating the layer and changing the blend mode to hard or linear light, that'll boost it a bit to start with.

TBH your effort is pretty good. You can't expect much better. The detail is just not there.

Think I will make a few more adjustments to try and reduce the noise and will have to give up on those few
