Alan Dorset 52 for 2025 Week 3 Graffiti

Not had an interest in food photography as a technique, so had some ideas about an alternative take on the theme. Then the fabulous colours in the venison stew captured me, and let the i-phone take the strain. Apart from a slight crop, straight from the camera. Impressed with the result.
 
Very colourful image there and the iPhone image is nice and crisp.

The colours definitely make the image. Nice take for the theme.

Those colours are great. Nothing wrong with using a phone - especially when it allows composition this strong.
 
I bet that ball doesn't get retrieved! Nice shot - but not for whoever landed it there :)
 
Cold day to be on the course, took me a sec to see the ball. Not quite in the drink but you're not getting that one back.
 
Nice one, like the shadow and the bumpy ice and as others have said the ball makes it- another example how something that takes up only 0.x % of the picture can make. a difference
 
The colours in your food shot are fantastic, the ball abolsutely makes your 'cold' shot - I really like the shadow on the ice too

You could almost have cropped off the top of the image and just left a bit of the grass as a border along the top and made the ball and the reflection the subject of the image....it would make for a really interesting minimalist shot.

Yes, an interesting take on it that I hadn't considered,
 
Is that a skate park perhaps? You don't often see graffiti on the ground.
I like the photo. I think that there is some interesting lighting that brings out the colours of the paint on the wall.
 
Skateparks...always a great source for interesting graffiti shots. Excellent shot Alan.

Thanks, yes a skate park under a road bridge, taken at night so opportunity to use a natural night filter ( Christmas present) with 50mm prime (Christmas present) and using a torch to add some highlights. Good exercise.
 
Love the colours in your graffiti shot - nice to see non-natural light too.
