Allan.H 52 for 2019 WEEK 52 OUT TAKE AND FINISHED

Not your usual style Allan, interesting to have such a change for snappers choice.
My personal taste in B&W processing would have pushed the grey point a bit to the right, giving more contrast, but that's purely personal.
Even I get sick of flowers Tim :puke: it was just an interesting place which was about 50 yards from the cottage we stayed in,
I do have a very contrasty version but felt that it lost quite a lot of detail, not as much as your lens baby though

Agree with Gareth on the stump looking like Thing form the Adams Family. Goes very well in mono and nicely taken too.

loved the Adams Family when I was a lot younger along with the Beverley Hillbillies and Sergeant Bilko thanks you and @GarethB for reminding me :)

Loved the dull shot with the curves of the hills and the telegraph poles on the right just makes you wonder what is down in the valley round the corner. Excellent.

Thank you Joan

Dull - says exactly what it says on the tin! Nice one.

Snappers' - ncie mono and lots to see :D

Hi Allan,

Sorry it's been a while.
Plastic - I like this. Perfect for the theme and the composition leave me slightly intimidated. Perfect.
Building - Nice shot and works very well in mono. It adds to the character.
Soft - lovely high key work there. Nice and sharp too. Great composition.
Old - Nice tight crop with great lighting. Perfect for the theme.
Flower - Very nicely done. I like the textured BG.
Dull - Works well for the theme.
Snappers Choice - There's lots going on in there. Good shot that works well in mono.
Near - Very clever interpretation for the theme. Two nice shots too.

Well spotted for near!

Snappers choice
It's a different style than in used too from you. Black and white is probably the best choice, I guess it would look all confusing and busy.

I've not come across these wordings "Near This Place" on a grave inscription before. Well spotted, Allan. The mono conversion suits the subject perfectly.
Well spotted for near!
Oddly, I think I prefer the second of the two shots. I can't put my finger on why though, perhaps because it's less fussy?
Both well found and taken and well suited to mono processing :)
Thanks

Haha, Love the top one (and love the song).
I also really like the aged photo effect you've conjured up there (blakcs lightened, slightly de saturated, and vignette added to my eyes, but I suspect there is more too).

Thanks Tim I can’t tell you what I did processing wise because I would then have to kill you......

.....or I might have just forgotten but it was along those lines

Song
I like them both, but will probably opt for the second one. It really does fit in with the song title and I like the simplicity (y)

Terrific images from you Allan!

Near: Beautifully crisp and perfectly suited to B&W. Great idea, well executed!
Song: Amazing processing on both. Don't think I could pick a favourite, but if pushed I think the simplicity of #2 is fab...love the subtle clouds too...very nice!

Good aspect on it and I like the way it's caught all of the detail in the cobbles and brickwork.

Hi Allan,
Two nice shots for song. Clever for the first one :) I like the treatment on it too.
Borrowed - It's amazing what phones can do these days. Great PoV and loads of detail. Nice :)

Borrowed is a great shot, especially using a phone...

Song: both shots are really good, difficult to choose. Well executed
Borrowed: good idea - and why not use a phone, it's as good as many older cameras and better than many

Borrowed - as already said, excellent pov and framing, and a good idea.
