After 82 years of service, Alperton Bus Garage closed for good on 10th September 2021. The garage will be demolished to make way for a housing development.

As a send-off, the depot was opened to the public the following day, with a selection of historic and modern buses in attendance.

It's about 40 years ago now, but I used to sneak into both garages to see their brand new MCW Metrobuses, which were quite exotic to this south Londoner at the time
