Yes it is a Fungi, one of the more colourful varieties

I would say it was about 30mm tall.

In the old days I would have been but putting the camera on the ground and using that tilt/flip live view screen on the back of the 70d saves me from doing so

Nice find and nice shot although I would prefer the framing shifted up a little to have slightly less distracting foreground and more space above the fun-guy.

The fungus is one of best - I've shot a few last year (same method, 70D ) and they are worth the hunt.

Nice! Lovely colours and plenty of DOF. Good execution at 0.6 sec.

FWIW I feel the same as @Nawty about the framing, although that would make the copyright notice even more obtrusive I suppose.
