any photography assignments?

hello guys...
do you organise some kind of photography assignments or projects?
I mean setting a theme, ex: lamp posts, red cars,...etc and then we should shoot and submit the photos within a specific period of time?

i saw 2012 member calander but can't see where you called for photographers for that and also the photos there are from different themes.

I'm currently doing a 365 project with some mates. It's a really good exercise in seeing photos & using your camera. You will use your camera to photograph things you'd not usually look at, you use functions you'd not even know your camera had & you will enjoy photography - http://365llanelli.blog.com/

There is also the POTY competition. I know this year is draw ring to a close but it might be worth having a go for the last couple of months, to get the lie of the land, before starting proper in January.
