I’m looking for a way to send (paper) letters via to web to people who have no email/don’t advertise their email address. This is a bit topical because it would be of use to people in isolation due to COVID or other reasons but that’s not actually the reason I’m looking now. Not bulk mailing, just single letters.

I’ve found 9 firms on a quick google but how to choose one! Can anyone here recommend such a service?
I found these:
http://www.cloudsmartuk.com/post/cloudpost.php
https://www.themailmonster.com/
https://www.mailform.io/lp/mail-a-letter-online
https://www.l-mail.com/
https://docmail.co.uk/
https://www.clicksend.com/gb/post/
https://www.pc2paper.co.uk/send-letters/send-letters-via-email.aspx
https://www.ukpostbox.com/services/send-letters-online

UK Postbox seems to be U.K. based.
PC2Paper ditto
Docmail ditto
ClickSend is Perth, WA — makes sense for AU
L-Mail also Aussie
Rest are possibly USA

You mean like a printer?

Have used a few of the greeting card type places to good effect.

Thanks, Not really, I mean like a letter. Most of those you can email the text + address etc or upload a pdf and the print/envelope/stamp and post them in the normal way you would do yourself if you could get to the post box etc.

What is the point?

It would be easier if you just type your own letters, print them, and post them directly by yourself, cut out the middleman.

It makes no difference if the person you wish to send a letter to, is in isolation. The postman would still have difficulty in getting the letter (either posted by you or posted by the printer) to the person in isolation. After all, those kind of companies are likely to be based in cities and towns, not villages, and would still need the postman to go from the town to the address that is in isolation. It is not like those companies are next door to the person living in isolation.

Beside, it does not feel very professional or personal if you use that kind of services, it would feel really professional and personal if the letter came directly from you, touched by you. I once send a formal typed letter to a company, and they were too cheap to type and print their reply, so they just scrawled a short reply on MY own letter, and posted it back to me! The cheek of it!

Thanks, but you’ve missed my point, maybe I didn’t make it clear. The “isolation” example was for the sender in isolation.
I am talking about someone who, for whatever reason cannot get out to buy stamps and post letters. You can buy stamps by post (used to do it but large numbers) but they still have to go out to post box/post office.

I have now used https://www.pc2paper.co.uk/send-letters/send-letters-via-email.aspx which was in my OP and it seems pretty good and cost £0.95.
I am (hopefully temporarily) unable to leave the house or use the phone and needed to get a letter about my medication to my hospital consultant. Everyone at the hospital has email and they advertise the format but this doctor uses variations of both her first and last names so not practical to try.

I could have printed your “professional looking” letter and got a friend to drive over and collect/post it but it seemed simpler to do what I have done :).

BTW, regarding your ‘profession letter” you can write your own letter and upload as pdf and dependind on service, choose colour or mono laser, type of paper, and your address on envelope, most don’t seem to add their own branding which I agree might be a downside for business letters.
