The bottom one is the Hogweed Bonking Beetle, Rhagonycha fulva - incredibly common at this time of year. Dipterists folk law has it that, once these appear, it is time to hang up your net and take the family on holiday, 'cause all the interesting stuff is over! Not quite true, there are some interesting speciesa about in mid to late summer, but there is quite a lot of truth in it.
