Assignments 2024: the best of British press photography

Some great pics there, some less so without the context. Ballet dancers was my fave too.
 
Elliott’s a friend, he often does slow motion when photographing dance - especially when the light’s too low to crank the shutter speed up any higher! I agree that his ballet shot is gorgeous, especially the way he’s isolated Marianela from the movement of the other swans.

Likewise, that’s largely what inspired me to take up photography in the first place, when I was a teenager.
