BBMF Spitfire PS519 at Eastbourne Airshow 2017

Due to technical issues with all Merlin powered aircraft at the BBMF, Airbourne will not have the BBMF flying at this year's airshow. Luckily on the Friday they sent over one of their PS915 Griffon 58 engine Spitfires.

Anyone know what the problem with ALL the Merlin engines is ?

Thank you. I only heard something about metal being found but not 100%. But it only seems to be the Merlin engines with the BBMF as another Hurricane was at Eastbourne today with a Merlin engine.

I believe they've found a crack in a bolt, and as a precaution, they've temporarily grounded the remaining Merlin powered aircraft until they know more about the problem. Hopefully it will be rectified ASAP.
