hi everyone I’ve not posted in here for ages but am now getting back in macro again this year
Here’s a bee fly from last week the first time that I’ve managed to photograph one
It’s a stack of two shots natural light

I thought I'd replied, obviously not. That'll be old age creeping in I guess :D

It’s ok mate , thanks was pleased to get this one they are buggers to get near

Lots about at the moment down here on the south coast Pete, nicely shot Matey. ;)

There are quite a few on and off hanging around my garden but rarely settle
But as you say Pete, bloody difficult to get close to, I caught one sunning itself on my bamboo recently,

Thanks I always see quite a few this time of year but never before managed to get one in focus

Don't get them in my garden... :(
Paul.
I don’t either have to go to the local nature reserve
I'm not sure what the attraction is in my garden, there are very few flowers, flowering at the moment.
And as above, they tend to hang around the bamboo for whatever reason.

That's not a nice insect
You'd probably surprised at the amount of parasitic insects we have, Les.
Not only that, there are real life and death struggles everyday in the tiny world of insects.
As they say nature is cruel

Nice shot Pete and even better for a 2 shot stack.
Get hundreds here but they are great to watch.
