We have rearranged things out at the feeding station, and added a new perch. Wish we had done it sooner as the birds love it, and it is providing me with some excellent opportunities!

This is now our set up ( click to go to the flickr page for more info):

All of these from one day:

Absolutely terrified of birds, but really great photos you've done! :)

Jo you really have an eye for the birds! (y)

The Gold Finch is fantastic although perhaps slightly soft around the head. The isolated background is spot on and makes him jump out of the screen.

Thanks both of you :) I know what you mean about the Goldfinches head Gary, I think it moved slightly in the time between focusing and me taking the shot. I have to get used to the new perch and its positioning, so hopefully things will only get better ;)

Amazing shots and amazing set up!! These are really good and thanks for posting the birdies names :D It helps me no end :D

Love #1 #2 and #3 best out of the set - all good though!

#5 is the pick of a good bunch for me.....(y)

Lovely set of shots with a lot of detail....Im not a huge fan of such dark backgrounds but thats just me being picky!

Great set up you have there Jo (y) some great images , loads of feather detail, and nice backgrounds

That's enough now - these are far too good. Nobody likes a smart arse. ;)

Pretty smokey!

Watch out CT if Jo carries on like this she will knock you off yer perch:LOL:

Nope - I think I'll just do a quick switch to landscapes or summat. :D

who could complain at that little set. top shots

Some really nice shots. Well done on getting some colourful ones in too.

This has given me a plan. I think I need a few feeding tables to get a hope of ever capturing shots like this in my garden

Great collection there Jo, I must say it looks like your birds are better cared for than I am

Hey Jo ... :cautious: ... I didn't think anybody would come close to the number of feeders I have spread over our small patch ... ... but you come close with your impressive set up ... ;)

And you have accompanied it with a lovely set of images as a result ... (y) ... well done l'il lady ...

:p

 wow thanks everyone :D

I love my birdies, they make even the dullest and depressing of days seem full of joy and light :D

OK, that's a bit OTT, but you know what I mean
