Purchased a spare battery for my ZFC a couple of weeks ago from Bristol cameras. Website stated in stock and, ordered on the Thursday, I expected them to ship it Friday for a Saturday or Monday delivery. Nothing came so I checked the order status on Tuesday and it still just said "order acknowledged". Later that day I called and the phone was answered by a rather brusque male.
"Hi there. I just wanted to enquire as to when you're expecting to ship the battery I purchased last Thursday?"
"Let me check.. Oh, the batteries are out of stock and are on their way to us from Nikon. We should get them in a few days."
"Would it not have been pertinent to point that out on the order page, and/or email me to let me know? The battery was ordered 6 days ago and I had hoped to have received it by now."
"We're not open at the weekend so really sorry we've not contacted you in a whole two working days!" he said in a very sarcastic tone.
And that was the best I got from him. No apology for the batteries being out of stock, despite still showing as in stock on the website; no apology for the delay and finally a very rude and sarcastic response to my polite question.
I will personally take my business elsewhere in the future.
