Personally cant wait, havent been to Silverstone since 2006, and the title fight is going down to the wire

Also get to finally use my my new camera for motorsport.

Looking forward to it
 
I'm going. I got my (Sunday) tickets on Ebay for £25. Silverstone are charging £29.
Maybe not a great saving. But for that I get into a second floor hospitality unit on the inside of Luffield where the pit lane starts, and also it's own private grandstand near the end of the Wellington Straight. No food and drink though!
I'm actually hoping for some rain during the days events.
My camera will be busy.
 
Im hoping for rain, so that Plato has a chance,

but I hate taking photos in the rain and I dont wana damage my camera lol
 
I only have a kit lens at the mo, would I be better with a 70mm-300mm for silverstone?

I managed ok with kit at Oulton
 
I know some locations there are fairly close, its been a while since I was there.

Just bought a fisheye lens, so if Ive got enough spare cash Ill get a telephoto too
 
I'm heading there Sunday. Although never done the national circuit so should be interesting. Hired a 100-400 which should do he job.
 
Well. We will not be needing the umbrellas. Looks a fine day forecast. No need for upping the ISO's. Dry, 16c and a 4mph breeze.

My samyang fisheye arrived today so can use that on some car shots before the action starts.

From what I recall theres plenty of places to get close to the action, and Ive only got my kit lens. It'll have to do
