Callanish standing stones on Lewis.....

got up at 3:30 am to try and catch a sunrise at Callanish stones during my recent trip to Lewis & Harris....
It was an amazing place at that time of day.
Only me and a Canadian woman there...

Composition wise it's a pity that the two stones in the second image are overlapping (unless you wanted it that way.......)

We were lucky with the weather.
The annoying thing though, when I left that morning it was very foggy, and the moon was an amazing pink colour. Never seen anything like it, but I was wanting to get to the standing stones before sunrise so didn't take any shots of the moon .
Been kicking myself ever since.

Yeah, I imagine it was pretty amazing out there as the sun came up.
