Camera problem/ servicing

I have recently got a bronica etrsi and love it but i have found a small fault with the camera.
I can not get it to fire a flash through the x sync. i have tried several cables but none will get my studio lights to fire.
has any one had this problem before or got any advice on getting it sorted?

It might just be something to do the sync port it self, seeing as you have tried many different cables and none have worked

Does the sync port look damaged at all?

no there is no sign of damage at all. This was one of the first things i checked.

I hope it will not cost to much to sort out as im skint afer buying new studio lights

It's probably a simple repair. You may as well get it serviced fully so that you know the camera will be good for years to come.

Is there no camera shops around near you, that you could pop into?

I downloaded a ETRS repair manual off the internet in pdf format- i'm sure google will find it straight away again. It details the wiring layout and shows the flash socket and wiring - pages 21-23 of 60.

Can't remember exactly where it came from but i would imagine the mike butkus site is most likely
