Hi all,
I have a canon 7D which is great for still shots but I'm finding I want to take more video clips of grandkids and stuff, so was thinking of upgrading to maybe an 80D or similar , was wondering if I could get some advice on this subject? Don't want to spend a fortune so looking at used bodies and its mainly the autofocus that would be important . My 7D has only manual focus on video which makes things difficult !
Thanks

I dont know about mirrorless but I dont think the 80d has full autofocus for video, well you can probably set it to CAF but DSLR lens pretty much all make some noise when focusing. I never found one that was silent enough for on camera mic.
I've shot a few videos on my 7d, I would pre focus and tended to use wide lens (10-20mm) that worked for what I was doing, mostly vloging
I use now a Sony ZV1, designed for vloging
