One of Canon’s most unique lenses, the MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro has been officially discontinued. These little niche lenses helped set Canon’s lens lineup apart from other manufacturers. We’re hoping that we see lenses like this in the future for the RF mount.

That's a tragedy.
Strange beast to use well but I loved mine (I've had 2 over the years)
I'm now totally Sony (A7RIV) and using the Sony 90mm Macro (a fantastic lens) and a Raynox DCR‑250 ...

Oh no that’s a shame there’s not many alternatives to that lens, I have considered getting one but I tend to shoot close ups up to 1:1 rather than higher magnification

That is a sad day, the MP-e 65 was and still is one of my favourites macro lenses I have ever owned.
One from the said lens and the Canon 350d from 2010.
