The Canon original battery charger that came with my Rebel (usa model) was fine for use in the UK.

but as mentioned, the US chargers will work fine , this is because the voltage range on them works from 100V to 250V , and will work in almost any country as long as you have the adapter lead with the two pin plug ( charger end ) on the lead , this same lead can be bought anywhere in the uk for no more than 2 or 3 quid if needed , polarity doesnt matter as its all AC voltage,
or a plugtop adapter will work fine to convert from US to UK plugs

PS.............the Nikon chargers use the same 2 pin plug and voltage ranges, and can be used anywhere just like the Canon chargers
