Choices for Sony a77ii

Hi all

I am after a super tele for wildlife and birds.

Within my budget the choices are;

Sony 700-400 G ssm version 1
Sigma 120-400 os dg hsm
Tamron 150-600 version 1

Has anyone had experience of any of the above lenses.

What’s your thoughts on the best lens of the 3?

I don't have personal experience, but have you checked out the lens reviews on dyxum.com?
 
Used to own the A77ii and 70-400G1 combo once up on a time. The lens is really great optically, much better than the other two you mention
Though it's a bit slow to focus, that's where the G2 version comes in.

Cheers. I can imagine the other 2 may be slower? IQ is paramount.

I'd look for the negatives and positives from people using the lens for similar types of photos to your application. Then go through the negatives described by them, seeing if they are due to user error, poor lens QC or poor lens performance.
