Cold garden - New Year's Eve

I captured these this morning in our garden with a Panasonic G9 and Olympus 60mm macro. They were all focus-stacked from hand-held 6K videos using Helicon Focus and then processed with Lightroom and DeNoise AI. There are 1300 pixel high versions in this album at Flickr.

It’s 3, 5 and 7 for me, like the bokeh in 3 and 5, but 7 the subject is so sharp with a very well blurred background, that’s my favourite.

Stunning work... hard to pick a fave, probably the ivy berries. All wonderfully crisp though.

Thanks both. Different favourites from Chris and Chris (and me). That's rather pleasing.

#7 is Fatsia. You probably know this already, but my wife tells me (because I know nothing of such things) that it is in the same family as ivy.

Thanks Les. I've been wondering recently if there were opportunities out there I'm missing of a more abstract nature rather than my usual fare of flowers and small animals. I think I may be starting to look around slightly differently. Perhaps that is where #3 and #6 came from. Not really abstract, but for me at least a bit different than usual. (Not too much around by way of flowers or animals at the moment anyway, so it makes sense to look at other opportunities.)
