A few from Cosford today. 30th anniversary of the museum and a flypast of a Spitfire from the BBMF.

Could have done with a slightly slower shutter but 1/500 seemed a start.

C&C welcome.

Thanks for looking

Russ

Good set, but I really like #2, the nose on view... just looks a bit dark to me. That also goes to show exactly how fast the prop on that thing moves... 1/500 and still a bit blurred... I can't remember the details but with the 5 bladed prop I think it's one of the later ones... with more power.

You were a little bit too close if I'm being honest. I know there may well have been nothing you could do about it but it isn't a very attractive angle.

The shots themselves, the light seems to have been a little awkward for you. They aren't bad captures though, they could use some cropping to help polish them a little, as they look a little 'messy' at the moment off center.

With some cropping to centralise the subject I would be relatively happy with the last one.

Shame the sky wasnt platying ball but apart from that you choose a great shtuter speed and got some cracking angles which resulted in a faboulous set of images :):)

Thanks for the comments. I was very surprised with the direction of flight, he came in low directly over the museum meeting the runway at 90 degrees, looped around and came back. This was repeated 2 or 3 times. The flightpath was directly overhead, probably the closest I've ever been and what a fantastic sound !!.

Looking forward to the Cosford show in June (y)

I was going to go to Cosford today and was totally unaware of any anniversary or celebrations, never mind. 3 I like best.
