In Coventry we are proud of our ring road, so when I heard that a group of local photographers were going on a photowalk around the ring road I had to join them. We spent four and a half hours, and 16,000 steps, and got some decent photos, even though I have lived in the city for over 10 years it was goos to explore new places, and I have also spotted a few shots that I want to return to. I felt like the grey autumnal light and our grey concrete architecture leant themselves to shooting black and white, and I mostly used my 35mm prime (nifty fifty equivalent).

Very nice set of candid street style captures Lewis, liking all of these very much.
 

Point of trivia, that is the spot where the photo on the cover of The Specials' first album was taken by Chalkie Davies in 1979


There was rather less water in the canal basin at the time :)
