Thanks Nog, yes the steel looks like it's seen better days.Good bridge/upright, looking at the condition I’m glad it’s not being used

Thanks MartinPeople rushing headlong to their deaths no longer have the time, nor the interest, to look at what is literally beneath their feet (tyres). This is a common scene across the country and indeed around the world and it is sad to see, but inevitable in the absence of care for the environment. At first glance, your photograph seems unremarkable as a subject but the back story brings it to life.
Very true AlanYes, the back story makes the picture. Nowhere escapes the population living and travelling.
Ha ha! That made me chuckle!
Been there a while then
Yes indeed Keith, it's come down a fair bit, but still in flood and coloured up.Great story, water looks a bit muddy - had plenty of water there?
Water good questionNice - weir did you take that?
I was feeling generous so you all get a bonus wall tooSnappers: The one the got away
Wall: there would appear to be more than one there so fits the bill and some!
Yeah Dave, the colours are lovely right now.A lovely bit of oak there
Absolutely Pete, it caught my eye (the whole area was full of such shots, I had to drag myself away)Sunshine on bright and colourful leaves, what's not to like
It's been there years, I can only assume its for people in kayaks and canoes but no idea why they're directed this way round the island.Ooh, enigmatic! Do you know why it's there?
This way for more riverAutumn. Superb colour. Nice shot.
Arrow: Hmm.. not the most informative of signs
