Yes
Here's a photo I took of my Nan at the weekend, on her 98th birthday.

I'm not sure it's a great shot technically, but all thoughts would be appreciated. All I've done in PS was to add some saturation....

Wow 98! That face shows all those 98 years bless her.:)

Nothing wrong with the shot at all but she might appreciate a soft focus approach? ;)

Two World Wars, and 7 kids.... behind that face are many, many stories...

Soft focus approach? Help me out here....!

Try a soft focus filter effect perhaps in editing or try the soften filter.

Something like this might be more appreciated,

This was just a quick touch out of a few of those spots with the clone tool and I applied a plugin filter from Virtual Photographer called 'Romance' Gives it a nicer, warmer feel I think?

Direct flash is not the most flattering light for anyone -let alone a 98 year old. You'd have got a much softer effect using bounced flash.

Thanks CT. Looks a million times better.

Thanks too for explaining what you've done... I've got a lot to learn with Photoshop!

That's a lovely shot of your Gran in the first place Weggy ... (y) ... and a great bit of adjustment from Cedric too ... :D ... she will be pleased with those ... ;)

I would like to see the reflected light in her glasses toned down or removed though ... ... just a bit distracting as is imo ... :D

:p

Can CT do that to a real person and not just a photo as I'd like to knock ten years off my looks too.

As Venomator says both very good images.
