Doesnt work as well as the one on your other thread.Mainly because you have caught the drop mid air, in the other shot, it has a teardrop which helps explain it in the image.

This one looks like its hovering ?

Also, are you using flash at the front?

For me, the front on lighting is a tad harsh, particulalrly on a steel item - you get away wityh it better on the other brass (?) pieces as it softens the light.

Agree with all of the above ;p and yeah I was just using the on board flash for this one, as I don't have a decent speedlite yet (one more thing to buy).

And omg I just found out about white balance cards tonight, solved so many problems for me that I was having
