Wild European Roller

Almost turned the heating on this morning.

Hopefully, this image will help brighten up your weekend! The European Roller was one of our target species when we visited Hungary a couple of weeks ago. This year we saw excellent numbers. At this particular location, we were able to photograph them within a few metres in front of us.

Beautiful bird, you have captured an interesting moment. What focal length and aperture did you use?

Hi Constantin, I was shooting at 500mm at the time. This is a full-frame vertical shot cropped to 5x7 ratio so a slither off the top and bottom. Hope that helps.
