Evidently they eat pollen but when it comes to laying eggs they are parasitic and lay the eggs on bumble and mining bees!!

I'm one part fascinated and another part irritated, I like my bees!! All part of the circle of life I guess...

I like these thickhead flies, whenever I find them there are normally two together doing the fly multiplying thing. Great image Ryan.

Cheers, I was using a 5d3 with a Sigma 150mm f2.8(the old version) for these, the first was with a Raynox dcr250 too. Both were stacks though.
