In 2017 Bristol was designated a UNESCO City of Film and is widely used by film and TV productions.
Currently the city is hosting a Netflix re-make of the 'Forsyth Saga', a novel first published in 1922 and first featured as a TV series in 1967.
Various settings are being used and today one of those settings was Frog Lane, which runs under Park Street.

Interesting stuff, well caught

Great photo opportunity Roger - how long does it go on for

I admit to being a grump about commercial film makers taking over public areas.

Where are Climate Rebellion, when you need them? :naughty:

I don't know Bill, I believe that filming outside has been going on for several weeks now and in various locations simultaneously, but certain leased ex-offices have been used for inside filming for months now.
It's often difficult to know if all filming is for the same production unless it's clearly visible of course. :)

Yes I did have a run-in with a Film Security guy who told me that I couldn't take photos ( I had already been told that I could by one of the managing film crew) and I had to remind him that I was on a public road, where photography was permitted. He said he would refer to me as an 'awkward cantankerous old man' and I said I was happy with that preferring it to being referred to as a 'jobsworth'.

It's an interesting position though. Councils can issue a TRO (Traffic Restriction Order) to close a road but I have to think that there must be some document displayed to enforce it.
I will have to do some research as stopping all vehicular and pedestrian movement is no small thing.
