Yes
the first snow for this winter has arrived in the city.

the motion blur for the people in the foreground is intended.

thinking about the recent thread on people holding back on crit, please feel free, I'm posting this to learn to improve. for starters, over-cooked or ok?

The idea definitely works but for me the colour is a bit jarring to the eye.
I would be interested to see it as a mono version and ideally would have preferred a little more movement in the foreground (but that may not have been practical).

It works for me Tim and I like it very much. I like the colours and range of shades and the movement too.

Is this a crop from a picture and if so any chance of seeing the whole one?

Well taken Tim :D

"Excellent" candid street style capture Tim, pushes all the right buttons for me.

Thank you, it was shot 65 x 24 format in camera, however the camera does retain the full sensor image:

The colors were quite jarring it's true. More movement would be tricky the trams are moving all the time not sure about standing a tripod there maybe I try it one day. This was 1/30th handheld. Here is the mono version

I think I like the whole picture better Tim but I think I can see why you'd prefer the crop.

I don't think the colours are too much, they're spot on for me :D

The colours are over cooked for me - but it would have suited it had you gone for more blur, maybe a touch of ICM. There is nothing particularly interesting happening in the frame, so it's more about the light, colours, reflections, general aesthetic, so, more blur in my view :)

Thank you, I’ll give icm a try. My goal was to convey the general aesthetic of the scene.

I know it's subjective, but not for me.. their too far away in any case
I have images when the trams are closer. To my eyes the tram then becomes the subject of the image rather than part of the general scene. And people aren’t crossing when the trams are much closer. Hope that makes sense.

I think it works, Tim.

Looks good to me, Tim. The colours and movement give it an impressionistic look.

I like it, the motion blur adds to the feeling of being there, I don't mind the colours, as they tend to be 'in your face' anyway :)
Nicely done.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, much appreciated.

I'm convinced there's a great shot to be had in this location with the christmas lights on, snow falling, reflections from the water on the ground etc. This one wasn't it. I'm hopeful I'll get it one day :)

In the first crop I didn’t realise that the spots in the background were snow, it looked like a rainy scene. The whole image changed that for me, so a crop with a bit more up top might have worked better for me.
