Flash photo after advice

After sifting through a lot of advice and taking a lot of photo's ive settled for this one, i had the camera on P mode and the flash on e-ttl + 2 thirds it seems ok to me any thought's please...Ray PS i had no model

its fine on P mode while the background is fairly light but if you have a dark room it will leave the background dark and lightup the subject onlly.....looking rather like the bog standard flash photo. It uses a fixed speed of 1/60th whch doesnt catch the background lighting.

good for daytime lighter stuff though

i forgot to say i used a diffuser and bounced the flash of the cieling

well that has certainly worked well. Very difficult to get to grips with.. then just whEN you think youve got it sorted... the light changes, or the situation changes and you have to start from scratch!
