I've got an RF-16 trigger that i got off ebay a while ago (a bit like THIS I'm trying to work out a way that it can be used to trigger my Canon 430EX.

The 430EX doesn't have a sync input on it, so I wondered about using one of these but I don't know if the wireless RF-16 will trigger it.

I suppose even if it doesn't then I can connect a sync cable into its input, but wondered if anyone had tried this and might know if the radio trigger would work it.

Thanks

Allan

(PS All links go to ebay)

The PT04 may have problems with that,

"According to our experience, Canon Flashgun 430ex, 580ex, 550ex maybe occur misfiring with this trigger. Beware of THIS!!"

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wireless-Slav...hZ010QQcategoryZ64354QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem You want the pro version apparently but there seem to be several different types that all look identical so you might be best buying the kit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pro-Wireless-...hZ010QQcategoryZ64354QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem which is damned near the same price as the single bit you linked to.

I think there is 1 channel that overlaps between the 16 channel and the four but you could waste ages trying to find it. Look up a shop on ebay called Gadget Infinity. They sell a modified version of the PT-04 called V2 and there's a list of flashes they're modded to work with. They're still not 100% reliable, you get what you pay for and I can't afford Pocket Wizards.
